Timberwolves drop decision to Regina Cougars

REGINA, SK – The UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team dropped the back-half of their weekend double-header to the Regina Cougars. The final score favoured the Cougars by a 74-65 margin.

Spencer Ledoux and Chris Ross both finished the night with 15 points apiece. Josh Gillespie added 11 points and 11 rebounds along with four steals for UNBC, earning Earls Road Warrior of the Game honours.

The women’s team also lost 73-51 to the Cougars.

Rebecca Landry led the team offensively, whose 16 points on eight-of-13 shooting were a team-high, resulting in her receiving the Earls Road Warrior of the Game honour for the TWolves. Also reaching double digits offensively was Amrit Manak who finished with 12 points. Defensively, Sveta Boykova pulled down 10 rebounds, while Bella Mesquita and Adaiah Tupas-Singh both secured three steals.
