PRINCE GEORGE — The Anaheim Ducks have recalled left winger Nico Myatovic from the San Diego Gulls, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, while veteran forward A.J. Greer has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury.

The 21-year-old Myatovic has been one of San Diego’s top offensive contributors to start the season, co-leading the Gulls with five goals and sitting tied for third in team scoring with eight points in 11 games at the time of his recall.

The six-foot-two, 207-pound forward has appeared in 158 career AHL games, tallying 46 points and 56 penalty minutes since joining the Ducks’ development system. He recorded career-best point totals in each of the past two seasons, posting 19 points in both the 2024-25 and 2025-26 campaigns.

A second-round selection, 33rd overall, by Anaheim in the 2023 NHL Draft, Myatovic developed with the Western Hockey League’s Seattle Thunderbirds, where he amassed 121 points in 181 games over four seasons.

The Prince George native played a key role in Seattle’s 2023 WHL championship run and helped the club reach the Memorial Cup. His standout 2022-23 season saw him score 30 goals and add 30 assists for 60 points in 68 regular-season games, while recording a plus-43 rating.

Myatovic now gets another opportunity at the NHL level as the Ducks look to fill the void left by Greer’s injury.
