UNBC women’s basketball team falls 67-46 to visiting UBC

PRINCE GEORGE — An electric crowd of 1,400 fans wasn’t enough to propel the UNBC women’s basketball team to victory Friday afternoon, losing 67-46 to visiting UBC at the Northern Sport Centre.

The crowd was made up largely of School District 57 kids. The loss dropped the Timberwolves to 2-11 on the season, while UBC improved to 13-2.

Viktoriia Filatova had 12 points for UNBC, while Rebecca Landry added 11 and Bella Mesquita had 10.

Mona Berlitz led UBC in scoring, picking up 17 points and 12 rebounds.
