PRINCE GEORGE – The UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team split the weekend with the UBC Thunderbirds after dropping a 83-71 decision last night (Jan. 20). Evgeny Baukin had team-high 15 points for the TWolves, adding five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal en route to a Mr. Mike’s Player of the Game award.

In the meantime, the short-staffed women’s team put up a good effort, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory, falling 81-65. With 14 points, 15 rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal, Sveta Boykova captured Mr. Mike’s Player of the Game honours for UNBC.

The TWolves will now travel to Kamloops next weekend for a double header with TRU.
