UNBC women’s win against WolfPack; men split the weekend
KAMLOOPS, BC – The UNBC Timberwolves women’s basketball team completed their weekend sweep of the TRU WolfPack after winning 64-60 last night (Jan. 27).
Rebecca Landry tallied a game-high 22 for UNBC while going 7-16 from the floor. Adaiah Tupas-Singh knocked down a trio of treys for 10 points and Svetlana Boykova had 12 rebounds. With the result, UNBC gets closer to a top-12 spot in the Canada West standing.
Meanwhile, the men dropped the back-half of their weekend double-header with the TRU WolfPack after losing 69-63.
For the second night in a row, Josh Gillespie paces UNBC with 16 points while also pulling down 13 rebounds for the double-double. Kamloops product Spencer Ledoux scored 11 points and added seven rebounds in his return to the Tournament Capital.
