WINNIPEG – The UNBC Timberwolves men’s basketball team put up a good fight against the nation’s top-ranked Victoria Vikes last night (Feb. 24), but fell by an 80-68 score.

Spencer Ledoux was the most efficient scorer for UNBC, leading the way with 24 points. Along with Chris Ross, the senior forwards combined 37 points and 17 rebounds in the loss.

“I think I’m going to remember the teammates,” said Chris Ross afterwards. “Obviously how fun it was to have something go our way and to win a couple games in a big moment like this.”

The Twolves will now battle for a third place in the Canada West against the Calgary Dinos tonight (Feb. 25) at 4 p.m.
