UNBC Twolves announce commitment of Alaskan soccer standout

PRINCE GEORGE — The UNBC women’s soccer team has announced a new commitment.

Fullback Blake Plummer from Alaska has committed to the Twolves by way of Peninsula College in Port Angelas, Washington.

Over the past two seasons, Plummer has started in 16 games and tallied two goals and two assists while adding six shots on goal.

“All the girls were welcoming, and everyone has been super nice. Prince George is really similar to home, so it makes it easier,” says Plummer who visited the UNBC campus in February of this year. “I play fullback, so lots of work on both sides of the ball and running up and down the sideline. I’d like to think of myself as a pretty competitive person. I’m gritty. I like to win the ball back and play it forward.”

“The 2024 class is coming together with a lot of exciting players with diverse qualities and experiences,” adds UNBC Women’s Soccer head coach Neil Sedgwick. “The addition of Blake and their experience from a quality junior college program like Peninsula College, will bring a key boost for this class.”
