Smoke Eaters dispatch visiting Spruce Kings

TRAIL — Ben LeFranc and Luca Primerano scored goals for the Prince George Spruce Kings in a 5-2 loss to the hometown Trail Smoke Eaters on Friday (March 8) in B.C. Hockey League action.
Charlie Zolin backstopped the Spruce Kings, making 25 saves in a losing effort.
Trail outshot Prince George 30-14 and improved to 24-17-6-0 on the campaign.
The Spruce Kings (14-30-3-0) — who are last in Interior Conference standings — are slated to square off against the Warriors (28-10-10-0) on Saturday (March 9) in West Kelowna.
