Chamber of Commerce appoints Godbout new executive director

PRINCE GEORGE—Neil Godbout has been appointed as the Executive Director for the Prince George Chamber of Commerce.

Godbout is an award-winning journalist who currently serves as a member of the UNBC Alumni Council and the Prince George Heritage Commission. Godbout will be bring his extensive experience in communication, advocacy, and management to the Chamber.

“I’m excited about this new direction in my professional career and thankful to the Chamber for the opportunity,” Godbout said. “I’ll be focused on engagement and advocacy for the Chamber and its members, especially around community safety, as well as working with the staff and board on the upcoming two-day True North Business Development Forum in June.”

The one-year term begins on Monday, March 18 and will cover Chamber CEO Quynlan Young’s maternity leave.

The Chamber of Commerce is Prince Georges leading business association. The group focuses on developing Prince George’s economy through lobbying and advocacy for it’s members.
