UNBC Timberwolves to hold bottle drive fundraiser for MVP of the Month

PRINCE GEORGE — Every March the UNBC Timberwolves Student Athlete Society announces an MVP of the Month—someone in the Community who could benefit from fundraising efforts put on by the club. This year’s recipient is Grace Calhoun.

A mother of 5 and an active member of 4H Calhoun recently received a life-changing diagnosis. Her limited mobility has left her needing to use a wheelchair full-time. The lifestyle has also brought new financial barriers for her and her family.

To help the family out the Student-Athlete Society will be hosting two fundraisers. The Fill-the-Bus campaign will take place March 23rd and 24th from 10 am – 4 pm. The Timberwolves ask you to bring your bottles and cans to Art Knapp for donation purposes. Then later in the week, the school will be hosting a charity dodgeball tournament with a donation to enter.
