Vipers complete weekend sweep of hometown Spruce Kings

PRINCE GEORGE — The Vernon Vipers completed a weekend sweep of the Prince George Spruce Kings with a 3-1 victory on Saturday (March 23) in B.C. Hockey League action at Kopar Memorial Arena.
Kilian McGregor-Bennett scored the lone goal for the Spruce Kings (15-34-3-0) in support of netminder Charlie Zolin, who stopped 29 shots in a losing effort.
Vernon (32-19-1-0) blanked hometown Prince George 1-0 on Friday (March 22).
The Spruce Kings have two games remaining on their schedule — both of them on the road next weekend — and will finish last in Interior Conference standings.
