Northern Sports Centre court to be refurbished

PRINCE GEORGE – It’s a facility that sees a lot of use. The Northern Sports Centre (NSC) is the home of the UNBC Timberwolves and its floor is getting a facelift.

“Basically they will sand it down, strip the finish, update the paint, and then put a new finish on top to make sure that it is safe,” explains Christie Ray, Acting Director of Business Development.

The university has applied for a $100,000 grant from the Northern Development Initiative Trust. Regardless of the success of the grant application, or not, the job needs to be done.
