Spruce Kings drop post-season opener in Penticton

PENTICTON – The Penticton Vees blanked the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings 3-0 on Friday (April 5) in B.C. Hockey League post-season action.
Penticton leads the best-of-seven Round 1 series 1-0, with Game 2 slated for Saturday (April 6) in the Peach City.
Charlie Zolin backstopped the Spruce Kings on Friday and made 24 saves in a losing effort.
The series will shift to Prince George later this week, with Game 3 and Game 4 slated for Tuesday (April 9) and Wednesday (April 10), respectively, at Kopar Memorial Arena.
