Spruce Kings suffer heartbreaking loss in double overtime
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings are one loss away from being eliminated from BCHL playoff action.
This after they suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 loss in double overtime Tuesday night to the Penticton Vees before 776 fans at Kopar Memorial Arena.
With the loss, they’re now down 3 games to 0 in the best-of-seven first round matchup.
Linden Makow and Scott Cousins scored for Prince George. Cousins goal gave the Kings a 2-1 lead early in the third period before the visitors tied the game up at the 6:45 mark of the final period.
