PRINCE GEORGE — The Penticton Vees beat the Prince George Spruce Kings 3-2 Wednesday night at Kopar Memorial Arena to complete a four game sweep of the first round BCHL playoff series.

The Vees overcame a two-goal deficit going into the third period to clinch the series. Owen Goodbrand opened the scoring at the 3:14 mark of the first period while Scott Cousins extended the Kings lead to two when he scored at the 15:01 mark of the second period.

But it was all downhill from there as Penticton rattled off three straight goals – including Callum Arnott’s game winner at the 11:08 mark of the third period.

Final shots on goal were 41-17 for Penticton with the Kings Ryder Green making 41 stops while being named the game’s third star. The attendance was 803.
