PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars kick off their Western Conference Semi-Finals WHL playoff series Friday night versus the visiting Kelowna Rockets at CN Centre with puck drop set for 7 p.m.

The Cougars are coming off a four game sweep of the Spokane Chiefs while Kelowna beat the Wenatchee Wild in six games.

The Cougars boasted a 6-1-0-1 record against Kelowna in the 2023-2024 regular season, and five of the eight contests were decided by one goal. The most recent clash between the BC division rivals came on March 13 where the Cats won 6-5 in Kelowna, courtesy of a Hudson Thornton overtime winner.

According to the Cougars, there are only standing room tickets remaining for Game 1 Friday and Game 2 Saturday (April 13).
