Council of Seniors appoints new Executive Director

PRINCE GEORGE—Malhar Kendurkar has been appointed as the new Executive Director for the Prince George Council of Seniors. Kendurkar has lived in Prince George for almost a decade and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.

Kendurkar resume includes him serving as the President of the PG Astronomical Society for the past four years. There he showcased his strong leadership skills and committment to community engagement. He additionally holds a remote position leading an international team of astronomers in cutting-edge research. Kendurkar also taught astronomy at various Canadian post-secondary institutions.

“We believe that Mr. Kendurkar’s combination of technical prowess, leadership experience, and passion for community engagement makes him an ideal fit for the Executive Director role,” said a spokesperson for the board. “His enthusiasm for the job and his proven ability to navigate complex challenges were key factors in our unanimous decision to appoint him.”

The Council of Seniors adds that Kendurkar has a strong track record of acquiring grant money and managing nonprofit organization which will be crucial for his new position. Kendurkar is also proficient in multiple languages including intermediate which will allow him to build connections with diverse communities including media and stakeholders.

Kendurkar began his new role last march and the board notes they’re confident in his continued leadership. The Council of Seniors hopes this new chapter in the organizations life will be marked by growth and innovation.
