PRINCE GEORGE — Now’s your chance to join the discussion about palliative care.

The Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society invites community members facing life-ending illnesses or caring for someone in that situation to join them in sharing your experiences.

“We want to engage in conversations about existing services and explore what additional services could improve their quality of life,” the organization says in a news release. “Palliative illnesses, such as kidney disease, heart failure, COPD, dementia, and certain cancers, are serious conditions without a cure. Palliative care aims to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families.”

Forums are coming up to enable you to join in on the conversation. The first is on Tuesday, April 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Prestige Hotel. Another takes place Thursday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Civic Centre (upstairs) and one more that night from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Solace Centre (Hospice). A light lunch will be provided for the daytime sessions and a light snack for the evening session.
