Rockets beat Cougars to force Game 5 on Friday
PRINCE GEORGE — The Kelowna Rockets staved off elimination by beating the Prince George Cougars 2-1 on Wednesday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna before 3,852 fans.
The Rockets scored a pair of goals late in the second period to give them a two-goal lead heading into the third period. Those goals came from Max Graham and Gabriel Szturc.
Hudson Thornton replied for Prince George for this third goal of the post-season at the 16:37 mark of the third period to make it 2-1 but that’s as close as the game would get.
Kelowna outshot Prince George 29-27 with Ty Young taking the loss for Prince George.
