PRINCE GEORGE — The 2024 BC Craft Cannabis Summit starts Friday (April 19) in downtown Prince George at the Ramada Hotel.

The three-day policy summit will attract cannabis industry leaders from across the country and grassroot craft farmers from northern BC and other parts of the province.

As part of the conference, one block of George Street will be closed temporarily to vehicle traffic on Saturday. Organizers say the street closure is a first for the summit in B.C. Only adults are encouraged to attend.

Organizers says the city’s move to close a part of the street “is a step towards recognizing the economic benefits of embracing the tourism, job creation and reconciliation opportunities associated with cannabis legalization in Canada.”
