Fire on Anderson Street causes $100k in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 100 block of Anderson Street Friday morning (April 19).

Crews from three firehalls responded at approximately 5:50 a.m. to find very heavy smoke from all sides of the structure, and flame from one large window.

“Fire crews extinguished the fire very quickly, minimizing damage to the structure. Damage is estimated at $100,000. Neighbouring homes were not affected by the fire,” says the City of Prince George.

There were no injuries and displaced residents of the home are being assisted by emergency social services.
