Local residents win 2024’s Spruce Kings Show Home

PRINCE GEORGE – The 2024 Spruce Kings Show Home draw took place at 12:00 today, and the winners are Bob and Gladys Burgess! The draw sees people all across the province buy tickets, and the Spruce Kings says it’s really exciting to have a local winner.
“It’s sort of grown a little bit too over the last few years. We get a lot out of the lower mainland that like to support lotteries and like junior hockey as well, so they understand what the important parts are. The community support from the north is is unbelievable, the Spruce Kings wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the show home and those ticket buyers every year. So we’re really thankful that they stepped up here once again,” said Kyle Anderson, Spruce Kings Business Operations Manager.
This was a record breaking season for the Spruce Kings, as it sold the most tickets ever.
“Last year there was 12,000, this year we’re over 13,500 in the barrel for the draw. So again, huge support of our hockey club. Everyone knows expenses all over the place are going up, and it’s no different for junior hockey. So the support that everyone gives us with this lottery lets our team run from year to year,” Anderson said.
