Prince George RCMP confirm identity of human remains found at Bowron River rest area

PRINCE GEORGE— On April 14, human remains were discovered near the Bowron River rest area west of Purden lake. With the assistance of Search and Rescue, Police Dog Service, and Forensic Identification Service, RCMP have determined the person located was Edward Michael Milne.
Milne was reported missing on March 29, 2024. North District Major Crime Unit is investigating and consider the death to be a homicide.
If you traveled Highway 16 past the Bowron River rest area, between March 27-29, you are asked to report any information to the police about vehicles parked in that area. If you have any additional dash cam footage between Prince George and the rest are for the above dates contact the police at 250-561-3300.
