PRINCE GEORGE—The Active Living Market will make its long awaited return on May 4, 2024, for the first time since 2020.

Unlike previous years the market will be an outdoor market held at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Featuring nearly 30 booths it will provide attendees a one-stop-shop to discover recreational opportunities within Prince George. Patrons can connect with multiple business and organizations to find a program that will suite their lifestyle.

“This Active Living Market is a fantastic opportunity for individuals to explore a variety of activities, programs, and events within our community, and for organizations to showcase what they have to offer,” said Mayor Simon Yu.

In addition, City representatives from Parks, Bylaw Services, and Emergency Programs on-site to address questions regarding park spaces, emergency preparedness, and more.

Mayor Simon Yu expressed his enthusiasm for the event’s return, stating, “Many of our user groups have eagerly awaited the return of the market, emphasizing its beneficial impact on their organizations. We’re thrilled to make this a reality this year and hope it continues to grow.”

As part of the market, YMCA will host a Zumba class in the park from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Afterwards you can replenish those calories at one of the food trucks.
