Lheidli T’enneh councillor suspended

PRINCE GEORGE — Lheidli T’enneh councillor John West has been suspended.

A statement on the First Nation’s website says West was taken into police custody Friday at the House of Ancestors by the RCMP.

Council says it does not know why West was taken into custody but says they met and placed him on suspension.

Council says as more facts emerge, Council will make a more informed decision on what happens next.
