PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings have announced two player commitments for next season.

Will Moore is a 5’11” 185 pound forward who hails from Westfield, Indiana. He spent the past two seasons with the Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). In 94 NAHL games, Moore had 28 goals and 37 assists for 65 points.

“Will is an offensive player who is also very responsible. He’s a veteran player who will be leaned on in all areas of the game,” says Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes.

The Spruce Kings have also announced the commitment of defenseman Maks Percic for next season.

The 6’2″, 202 pound defenseman is from Maribor, Slovenia and spent this past season playing in the BCHL with Vernon and Merritt. In 44 BCHL games, Percic had two goals and 12 assist for 14 points.

Percic represented Slovenia at the 2023 World U20 Division 1B Championship, putting up five assists in five games in the Slovenia tournament win.

With the Merritt Centennials leaving the BCHL upon their playoff exit, all players became free agents, with the Spruce Kings adding Percic as soon as possible. Percic is committed to Michigan Tech University for the 2025-2026 school year.

“Maks is a player that plays the game hard and plays it the right way. With a year of BCHL experience under his belt, he will be a huge piece on the backend for us next season,” says Hawes.
