Man arrested in Dawson Creek on 24 fraud charges

BRITISH COLUMBIA— On Wednesday (May 1) the Dawson Creek RCMP arrested 39-year-old Allan Philips on two dozens outstanding Alberta warrants.
Philips has charges four of fraud over $5000, seven charges of fraud under $5000, eleven charges of credit fraud, one count of false pretense and one count of failing to comply with a release document. Some of these charges date back to 2014
The Alberta warrants were extended to be valid in British Columbia.
The arrest took place at around 8:30 a.m. with officers stopping a vehicle at the intersection of Highway 97 South and Highway 52 in Arras. Police applied to keep Philips in custody however he was released.
