DAWSON CREEK — RCMP in Dawson Creek made quite the discovery on Monday (May 6).

Cst. Emma Baron says the sighting of a man wanted by police led them to an industrial area in town where a search yielded several firearms, drugs and a large amount of fraudulently obtained identification documents.

The search took place at an industrial lot near the 300 block of 115th Avenue. Police say the man fled the area prior to the RCMP’s arrival.

Among the items seized were four rifles, two handguns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, suspected fentanyl, firearm parts, a stolen motorbike, a drone, imitation police gear, drug trafficking paraphernalia, hundreds of passports, driver’s licences and SIN cards.
