Miracle Theatre raises over 180,000 for wildfire support
PRINCE GEORGE– 180 thousand and 25 dollars. That was the total amount raised by Miracle Theatre to provide Prince George Fire & Rescue with a Structure Protection Unit. Typically used by Wildfire units, it’s a 20-foot trailer equipped with everything fire crews might need to fight off a blaze.
All the funds and donations from the production “A Comedy of Tenors” went towards wildfire protection in Prince George and it was actually a special trip to Logan Lake that inspired Miracle Theatre to raise funds for this specific unit.
Not only did the funds raised help by funding important equipment. It has also brought awareness to the community on how they can take part in making sure wildfire season doesn’t hamper Prince George.
