RCMP investigating cell phone tower break and enters

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Mounties are investigating a pair of remote break-and- enters that occurred at cell phone tower sites over the past few weeks.

The first occurred at a cell tower near the Bobtail Forest Service Road and Highway 16 West on April 23. The suspects broke into the tower and stole a large amount of equipment, causing extensive damage.

The second occurred on May 7 at a cell phone tower near Berman Lake. The thieves took several metres of copper wire and caused damage to the tower as well.
