BC Wildfire Service urges caution for those heading outdoors this long weekend
PRINCE GEORGE — Despite the break in the weather, the BC Wildfire Service is urging you to remain cautious if travelling our camping this Victoria Day long weekend.
With that in mind, the BC Wildfire Service is offering up the following tips to remember to ensure we all stay safe:
- Wildfire behaviour, like weather conditions, can be notoriously hard to predict and can change rapidly.
- Before traveling check DriveBC for the most up to date information on road conditions.
- Review the bans and restrictions page on the BC Wildfire website before heading outdoors.
- Make sure you are connected with BC Wildfire service, to stay up to date on the current wildfire situation.
