Small Strides in Fort Nelson Wildfire Fight

The B-C Wildfire Service says the weather has made a small but positive impact in combating the wildfires burning around Fort Nelson.
The Patry Creek and Parker Lake wildfires continue to burn out of control around the northeastern B-C community, keeping 47-hundred people out of their homes for more than a week now, with many taking refuge at the Prince George Emergency Reception Centre.
In an update last night, North Peace Complex incident commander Bryce Moreira says while cooler conditions in the coming days won’t have a significant impact on the fires, they will give crews a chance to find more hot spots.
