“Concert in the Park” at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park June 1st

PRINCE GEORGE — An evening of live music has been scheduled for June 1 at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park.

It’s the result of a partnership between the city of Prince George and CUPE Unions 399 and 1048.

It will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and has been dubbed “Concert in the Park” and will feature three local bands and a variety of food trucks.

This free event will feature the following bands:

  • Good Juju: A fun-loving dance party band known for their high-energy performances and a unique selection of modern hits. This all-star group of experienced musicians covers genres from Top 40 to country, pop, rock, and dance, ensuring a night of non-stop entertainment.
  • Rabbit Soup: A one-man band with a distinctive sound, blending banjo, kick drum, and kazoo to create music with environmental and political themes. Rabbit Soup’s raw and hopeful performances aim to inspire love and autonomy.
  • The Cottonwood Kids: A charming folk roots duo from Prince George, known for their heartfelt harmonies and captivating performances.

In addition to the music lineup, attendees can enjoy a variety of culinary delights from local food trucks, including:

  • Baller Foods
  • Afro Caribbean
  • Chaa Tayo Bubble Tea and Wings

Food trucks will be stationed by the washrooms, while the concert will take place at the bandshell. Bring your own chairs or blankets and come with an appetite for good food and great music.
