A new course at CNC targets burnout in healthcare professionals
PRINCE GEORGE – Many healthcare professionals have faced burnout due to their profession’s challenges. To support them in overcoming these difficulties, the College of New Caledonia has recently launched a new course called Health and Wellness for Healthcare Professionals.
Nurses frequently face life-and-death decisions and are expected to make crucial choices that can be life-threatening or life-saving for their patients.
“ Right now, nursing is at a point where it’s really short staffed, and it can be really hard. The things that you’re seeing, the things that you’re witnessing, the things that you’re the people that we’re caring for, it can be hard as a nurse to handle and deal with those things.”
