Free Transit in Prince George to celebrate Clean Air Day
PRINCE GEORGE— According to BC Transit that if people rode the bus instead of cars B.C. would save 10,570 litres of fuel per bus every year. In addition, the reduced road congestion means less air pollution as people are able to spend more time at their destination then in a traffic jam. This is why in celebration of Clean Air Day BC Transit is offering free rides for June 5, 2024.
Established in 1999 as part of Canadian Environment Week. The goal of Clean Air Day is to raise awareness about air quality and climate change, as well as encourage people to change their habits to more environmentally friendly modes of transportation.
If you would like free transit that entire week, bring a bike and celebrate GoByBike week.
