RCMP and ICBC to hold Spot the Target event

PRINCE GEORGE— Prince George RCMP and ICBC are getting together to bring an interactive display to the Pine Centre Mall.
This Friday (June 19), from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. representative from both ICBC and the RCMP will be at their Spot the Target display located in the Pine Centre mall parking lot. The Spot the Target event will give you the chance to identify potential theft targets inside a vehicle.
“This initiative is aimed at getting drivers to take a closer look at what is being left behind in their vehicle when they park it. Many of the items we leave out for our convenience become potential targets for thieves and increase the likelihood our vehicles will be broken into for these items,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
Those who visit will get a chance to look inside a parked car and see what may be a target for someone to break in. Afterwards you can enter a raffle to win a prize.
