PRINCE GEORGE — Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park will be the place to be once again for Canada Day celebrations.

One staple of previous Canada Day celebrations that won’t be happening this year though – the fireworks from atop Connaught Hill Park.

“Despite recent rainfall, the City is not hosting fireworks this year due to the current BC Wildfire burning restrictions,” says the City.

Despite the lack of fireworks, there will still be plenty to do from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

“We’re excited to offer exciting entertainment, delicious food options from around the world, and fun activities for the whole family. New this year is ‘challenge a champion’ with the Prince George Chess Club.”
