Mackenzie to feature Juno nominated musicians at Rockin’ the Ridgeline festival
NORTHERN B.C.— Mackenzie will be the place to be on July 27 for both music and mountain biking lovers as Rockin’ the Ridgeline takes places. The free Music, Bike, and Arts Festival will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Morfee Mountain.
From 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. there will be free shuttle access to the top of the Ridgeline Trail where people can hike or bike the 14 k.m. downhill trail. Alternatively you could explore the top of the mountain before riding the shuttle to the base. Other local biking trails include Azan Tunneh trail around the entire town, Lakeshore Trail around Morfee Lake, Little Mac Ski Hill trails and the jump/pump track community bike park located in the heart of downtown.
Then at 4:00 p.m. live performers will take the stage with local artists Rowan Siebert and Katrina Holden, along with visiting artists Naomi Shore, Ben Matchett, and Juno nominated Yukon Blonde performing at 8:30 p.m.
Yukon Blonde is an award winning Vancouver based indie rock group known for their song “Saturday Night” which won a SOCAN #1 song award. In addition the band has had tracks featured in major series like Grey’s Anatomy, Revenge, and The Summer I Turned Pretty.
