Student lead exhibit opens at Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum
PRINCE GEORGE— The Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum invites everyone to their grand opening of their new student lead exhibit focused on simple machines.
The exhibit, titled “Jack and Drill”, is an exploration on how the wedge, wheel, pulley, inclined plane, screw, and leaver are used in industrial equipment to make complex tasks easier for humans. The exhibit will also showcase the physics behind these six simple machines through interactive activities.
The opening reception takes place Friday, July 19, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It will be available for viewing during regular operating hours through to September 28, 2024.
The student lead exhibit is funded through Canada Summer Jobs. Every year student curatorial assistants at the Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum research, write and install a summer exhibit.
