Cougars blow 4 goal lead in loss to Winterhawks
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars fell to the Portland Winterhawks 5-4 in a shootout Wednesday night before 2,952 fans at the CN Centre.
The Cougars entered the third period with a commanding 4-0 lead but couldn’t hold on for the win. Portland scored three goals in just over three minutes beginning at the 13:14 mark of the the third period to send the game to overtime before winning the game in a shootout.
Terik Parascak had two goals for Prince George with the other goals coming from Koehn Ziemmer and Evan Groening.
Prince George outshot Portland 31-29 with Joshua Ravensbergen in net for the Cats.
