61 animals have been taken in by the SPCA even without a building
PRINCE GEORGE— Despite not having a facility in Prince George the BC SPCA is still finding opportunities to take in animals and find them new homes. Last week, the BC SPCA Spay and Neuter Clinic became an intake centre.
Jamey Blair, Senior Manager for Northern B.C. and the Kootenays, says that when their vet went on vacation they had an opportunity to take in the most vulnerable pets on their waitlist. After an examination they will be moved to facilities across the province to be adopted.
So far the SPCA has managed to intake 61 animals in 2025, but are hopeful that they can expand their reach soon.
