RCMP seeking witnesses and video following attempted theft at 10th & Central Street East
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Mounties need your help tracking down a suspect in an attempted theft last week.
RCMP say it occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday, March 27 near the intersection of Tenth Avenue and Central Street East when a woman who was walking in the area was approached by a man who tried to steal her purse and phone.
Police allege the man made several attempts to steal the items from the victim, who screamed for help. Other people in the area heard the cries and called 9-1-1, at which point the man fled the area. The woman did not suffer any serious injuries.
RCMP say they were unable to track the suspect down due to the high amount of foot and vehicle traffic in the neighbourhood.
