QUESNEL – The City of Quesnel has announced the Snotty Nose Rez Kids will be making their debut in Quesnel. The Juno award winning artists will perform at the West Fraser Centre on Saturday, June 7 at 7:30 p.m.

“I think it’s great for the community, we’re pretty excited about it. They just won a Juno Award a couple of weeks ago, so I think that timing is excellent, it’s really raised their profile in Canada,” said the City of Quesnel’s Director of Community Services Jeff Norburn.

“We’ve been hearing a lot of good things from people around the arena that are excited about it, and people on social media that are commenting on it, so we’re hoping that we get a really good turnout,” he said.

The Snotty Nose Rez Kids won their Juno for Rap Album/EP of the year for their album “Red Future,” which made them the first Indigenous group to win this Juno. Hailing from Kitimat, the group has performed in six different countries, and Norburn says it’s a fantastic opportunity for Quesnel and Northern B.C. to see a fantastic act at an affordable price.
