Canada Day festivities to be exciting at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park

Jun 30, 2025 | 10:35 AM

PRINCE GEORGE — Tuesday is Canada Day and once again, there will be lots of action down at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial to celebrate.

Festivities will be taking place from 11am to 6pm. The City of Prince George is running the celebrations and they say that “opening ceremonies at the bandshell start at noon with an opening from Lheidli T’enneh First Nation Elder Lenora White and a cake cutting to recognize Canada’s 158th anniversary at 12:30 p.m.”

The marketplace, food pavilion, and kids zone open at 11 a.m.

The City notes that this year, there will be “a free accessible shuttle between the Canfor Leisure Pool and Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park all day for residents who don’t want to find parking near the park.”

Due to a Category 2 & 3 open fire ban being in place, there will be no fireworks this year.
