PRINCE GEORGE — The City of Prince George has been named the host of the 2027 Provincial “B” Cup soccer tournament.

BC Soccer made the announcement Friday (July 18) that the annual youth soccer tournament – which will feature 80 U14 to U18 boys and girls teams from across the province – will be held in BC’s Northern Capital two summers from now.

Kamloops has hosted the “B” Cup tournament since 2023, and it was picked as the host of the 2026 edition as well.

The 2026 Provincial “A” Cup tournament will be held in Nanaimo next year while the 2027 edition will be held in Richmond.

“We’re excited to work with each of these outstanding host clubs as they prepare to deliver high-quality, memorable experiences for athletes, coaches, officials, and supporters,” said PJ Aucoin, BC Soccer’s Director of Business Operations.

“These events are more than competitions, they are celebrations of soccer across our provinces, and we look forward to supporting each community as they welcome teams from across B.C.”

BC Soccer says more information on scheduling, accommodations, and event details will be shared as planning for the tournaments progress.
