Tow trucks seeing surge in calls amid holiday travel
Road Safety
Prince George – With nothing but snow and sub zero temperatures in the forecast holiday travel can turn into a holiday nightmare with unsafe roads. With December being statically the most dangerous month for drivers it’s important to respect the roads and conditions.
“This week we’ve doubled our call volume. We’re averaging at 130 calls a day and we’ve brought in extra drivers on days off to come help us to drop the call volume trying to eliminate people’s wait times.” said Ron’s Towing driver Chris Cherry.
With wait times for service potentially being hours long it is important to plan your trip and check the weather before hitting the road as snowy and icy conditions are in high gear all across Northern B.C.
