World Semicolon Day
PRINCE GEORGE — In just a couple of days time, on April 16th, it will be world semi-colon day. What is world semi-colon day you might ask, well it’s an awareness day that focuses on suicide prevention and mental health support, symbolizing the choice to continue one’s story rather than end it. Why a semi-colon? The semicolon represents a pause where a sentence could have ended but did not, serving as a powerful emblem of hope, perseverance, and resilience for those struggling with mental health challenges. More specifically, it focuses on celebrating those who have survived suicidal ideation or attempts or have a loved one who has been affected by suicide or suicidal ideation.
