Rocky Mountain Ranger Week is coming
PRINCE GEORGE – It was a chance to update Mayor and Council on what the Rocky Mountain Rangers do and how Company “B” is faring. Council heard accounts of how the company is expanding with its recruits and how its had countless members attend conflicts across the globe.
Prince George is no stranger to an army presence. CFS Baldy Hughes was a Cold War-era Pinetree Line radar station near Prince George, BC, operating initially a United States Air Force station from 1953 to 1963 before it was transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1963 and later became a Canadian Forces Station.
And the Rangers also have a local history.
