Hart fire causes $250K in damage

PRINCE GEORGE — No injuries in a residential structure on the Hart this morning (April 28).

Just before 7:30 a.m., Prince George Fire Rescue crews from three halls responded to the 4900 block of Sooke Road.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage and attic area of the home. Fire crews initiated an offensive interior attack and quickly knocked the fire down. Emergency support services were deployed to accommodate the displaced residents. 

There were no injuries reported. Damage is estimated at $250,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
