Resident rescued from Domano fire

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a multi-unit residential fire in the 6800 block of Domano Boulevard last night (April 28).

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor of one of the units. Crews rescued one resident from a second-floor balcony and transferred that person directly into the care of BC Ambulance Service. Fire crews then initiated an aggressive interior attack to confine the fire to two units in the building. Emergency support services was called to provide accommodation for the displaced residents. 

Damage is estimated at $300,000 and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
